A pinnacle of Tremolite Serpentinite.
In the foreground is an outcrop of Pink Microgranite (Gneiss).
--------------------------------
Most of the Rocks in Kynance Cove are of Tremolite Serpentinite , as is Lion Rock and the Islands off Kynance , as well as the Cliffs to the West up to Rill Point .
The Tremolite Serpentinite is fine grained and banded.
-------------------------------.
The East side of Kynance Cove (East of a Fault) is of Bastite Serpentinite.
The Bastite Serpentinite is coarse-grained with a distinct metallic lustre , the large shiny crystals of Bastite give a flecked appearance.
