'Lion's Den' / Blow Hole

Below the coast path and Lizard Lighthouse is a Blow Hole.
(The blow hole is on the left of this photo)
A 35 metre deep hole created by the collapse of the roof of a sea cave , leaving the narrow cave entrance as an arch.
The collapse was in 1847 , when it was only 45ft deep, but has since been enlarged by the elements.
During rough weather the sea in the 'Lions Den' can appear to boil !.
