Men-An-Tol Holed Stone - 1

Men-an-Tol in cornish means 'holed stone '. One of the best known megalithic structures in Britain - possibly Bronze Age - of unknown purpose.
The hole is about 45cm in diameter . Only one of the two standing stones (about 1.2m high) is in this photo.
Recent research indicates that The Holed Stone , the two uprights and 4 other noticeable stones are part of a 17m Stone circle of 19 or 20 stones.

North of Lanyon Farm on the Morvah to Madron Road , parking spaces near the farm track running north-east .The track leads to a sign for the monument .
