Fault - Stem Cove (S7)

At the back of Stem Cove is a large overthrust fault where Black Shale meets Calcareous Shales above old Lead Mine Adits.
The Strata has been displaced by about 50m.
The rocks are from the Lower Devonian Period (408-386Ma) .
Stem Cove can be reached on a very low tide from Watergate Beach - some clambering over the rocks may be necessary.
